This wall decor piece is dedicated to the Norse god Njörðr, the Vanir god of the wind, seafaring, fishing, and hunt, but he is also associated with fertility, peace, and wealth. He lives in Asgard in a house named Nóatún (Ship-enclosure) which is right next to the sea. The frame is made from Pacific coast driftwood from Washington. Painted and sealed on a high quality piece of Goat leather is a Stave I created for doing rituals to Njörðr. Decorated on it is sand dollars from Cape Cod, sea shells from Florida, fish bones from a Witch in Ukraine, a sacred beach stone from the Salish sea and both fossil coral and surf tumbled pottery shards from Puerto Rico.
Approximately 17 inches (43.2 cm) by 12 inches (30.5 cm).
