This talisman is made from Irish Yew Bog wood and burned onto it is a Pictish petroglyph called the Double Disc Z-rod which has been found of stone carvings and metalwork. The exact meaning is unknown but some experts theorize it has to do with life and death. Attached are Racoon bones and a quartz crystal. It is approximately 6 inches (15.2 cm) long.
The Yew bog wood is of the highest quality and is ethically sourced in County Roscommon, Ireland in an area not far from Rathcroghan which was the ancient seat of Queen Medb in Connaught. The wood is between 3,000 and 8,000 years old.
