Norse-Gaels Dedicated Rune Set

1 in stock

This Special Elder Futhark Rune set is dedicated to the Norse-Gaels of the Viking Age. The Runes are made of a very special Irish Oak bog wood collected from a sacred location (more information below). The pendant made of the same bog wood has burned onto it the Ogham Rowan-Luis for protection (more information below). It comes with an adjustable leather cord. The handmade extra durable leather pouch has burned onto it the same Ogham as the pendant and the Bindrune of the Norns. It closes using a Roe Deer antler point from Lithuania. Decorated on it is another piece of the bog wood and an animal bone from a Witch in Ukraine. All the hemp twine stitching is sealed inside and out for long life. I am also including a naturally sourced Raven feather from Russia.

More about the Norse-Gaels:

Rowan-Luis-pronounced ‘lweesh’ or ‘loo-sh’. This Ogham few represents protection against dangers of every kind—spiritual, magical or physical. It represents defense, sanctuary, and taking precautions. It also represents control of the senses.

The Bog Oak that I work with was unearthed in County Roscommon, Ireland, an area not far from Rathcroghan the ancient seat of Queen Medb in Connaught.   Bog Oak Wood is a rare and fascinating material, preserved in the unique conditions of the peat bogs for thousands of years. The Oak itself dates from between 3000 to 8000 years old.
