This wall decor is dedicated to the seafarers of the Viking Age. The driftwood was found on the shore of the Bay of Quinte, Ontario, Canada. Burned onto it is a Viking longship petroglyph and above in Younger Futhark Runes it says, “Réttr veðr, fylgð haf” which in Old Norse roughly translates to Fair winds, following sea(s). Decorated on it is a fish bone from a Witch in Ukraine, a sand dollar from Cape Cod, sea glass from Osaka, Japan, sea shells from Washington and beach stones from the Salish Sea.
Approximately 17 inches (43.2 cm) long.
