Description
This nautical wall decor has burned onto it a Compass Rose and above it saying, “Fair winds, following seas”, which is a saying used in the U.S. Coast Guard and throughout the maritime world. Circling the compass rose are ethically sourced shark teeth fossils from the Florida Keys and they date to the Miocene Epoch (5-25 million years ago). At the bottom is a beachscape where I used black magnetic beach sand from the Washington coast. It is decorated with driftwood and sea shells from Washington, beach agates, beach jasper and sunstones from Oregon, sea glass from Puerto Rico, beach hag stones, sea shells and a starfish from Florida as well as a sand dollar from Cape Cod.
Approximately 13.5 inches (34.3 cm) by 10.5 inches (26.7 cm).
