Description
This necklace is dedicated to the powerful force that was the ancient empire of Rome and its Legions that pushed through Europe and Northern Africa to become one of the greatest empires in history. This necklace features an amazingly preserved piece of Roman armor scale known as Lorica Squamata made from bronze and dates between the 1st to 5th century CE. A bronze bail was added to it for being used for a necklace. The ancient Roman glass turned in to beads were found on the famous Silk Road and were originally broken bowls, vessels, cups and more. They all date between the 4th to 7th century CE. The handmade copper patina clasp is from Mykonos, Greece.
